This manual contains service information for the
2137/2138 Service Level A
(SL-A)
model of the IBM Aptiva Personal Computer, worldwide.
This manual is intended to be used as a stand-alone document to service
Aptiva machine type 2137/2138 product. It is divided into the following
chapters:

contains a brief description of this manual.

provides step-by-step instructions that aid in locating
the falling Field Replaceable Unit (FRU).
" Diagnostic Aids"
explains the diagnostics for removing FRUs.

contains illustrations and descriptions of
disassembling and re-assembling machine.

contains illustrations and descriptions of the
locations of the major parts, jumpers, and connectors .
