Xn (cont) Sets the type of return code sent:
n=2 Extended return codes are enabled. Basic return codes, the connect message, and the modem’s data rate are
displayed. Operation of the modem’s error correction and data compression are also indicated.
Dial tone detection is enabled. The modem dials only when a dial tone is detected, and disconnects if the dial tone is
not detected within 10 seconds.
Busy tone detection is disabled. The modem ignores any busy tones it receives.
