Scan Resume Condition D
The scan resume condition can be set as a pause (P5) or
timer scan (15/10/5). When a signal disappears, scanning will
resume after 5 seconds, regardless of the setting.
Push and hold [Top] for 2 seconds to enter set mode. q
Push [Top] several times until ‘S-TIME’ is displayed. w
Push [CH Up] or [CH Down] to select the scan resume e
time.
15/10/5 : Scan pauses for 15/10 or 5 seconds when a sig-
nal is detected, then resumes.
P5 : Scan pauses until the signal disappears, and
then resumes after 5 seconds.
r Rotate [VOL] to turn power OFF, or push and hold [Top] for
2 seconds to exit set mode.

Open Scan ■
The open scan function scans for transmitted signals, making
it easier to locate new stations for contact or listening pur-
poses.
To start an open scan:
Push q
a few times until open scan is selected

” is displayed.
Open scan is selected.
Appears
w Push to start the scan.
When a signal is received, the scan will pause and resume e
according to the selected scan resume condition.
r Push
to cancel the scan.
