3.2 Installing the Single Board Computer
To install your WEB-6580 SERIES into standard chassis or proprietary
environment, you need to perform the following steps:
(1). Check all jumpers setting on proper position
(2). Install memory module on right position
(3). Place WEB-6580 SERIES into the dedicated position in your system
(4). Attach cables to existing peripheral devices and secure it
NOTE: Please refer section 3.3 to install display and Ethernet
drivers and setup your system.
3.3 Install Display and Ethernet Driver
3-3-1 VIA VT8606 Integrated Graphics Controller
The on-board graphics controller is integrated in VIA VT8606 chipset that
integrates S3 Graphics 128-bit ProSavage4 graphics accelerator in a single chip.
The integrated AGP 4X graphics core with 2D, 3D and DVD video acceleration is
fully matched with the mainstream requirement today. The optimized Shared
Memory Architecture (SMA) can use system memory as frame buffer. The capacity
is optional for 8MB/16MB/32MB and setup by BIOS setting.
Featuring a new super-pipelined 128-bit engine, the integrated Graphics can
support 2D acceleration with all color depth, 3D acceleration for more vivid and
realistic images with true 32-bit color rendering throughout the 3D pipeline. This
integrated Graphics also provides the high quality MPEG-2 based DVD
applications and video conferencing.
VIA VT8606 integrated graphics controller can support a wide variety of
