treated. The contact lens also helps to hold the eye open and still so that laser energy can be
delivered effectively.
Systems may be used for procedures performed in a hospital or in a physician’s office, for in-
patient or out-patient procedures. The use of the laser system is not a contributing factor in
deciding whether a procedure is done on an in- or out-patient basis.
