This button will give you access to the Standard
Piece List. You will see it on Options. It will bring up a
screen containing the Standard Piece List and cutting
options. We will look:
Figure 30
There are seven pieces in the list shown here. You can
enter a maximum of 12. These particular pieces are
end blocks (EB), ribbon blocks (RB), and diagonal webs
(Diag) for 14 and 16-inch-deep Modied Warren oor
trusses. Remember, these pieces can be anything. They
don’t all have to be square ended pieces as shown on
this list.
DELETE will remove the piece from the list. MODIFY
will allow you to change the quantity only. The column
of numbers to the right is the priority for each piece and
the green and red ags control whether a piece will be
cut or not. Proper use of these two columns is discussed
later under Dead Reckoning Inventory System.
Cut Standard PiecesTurns the Standard Piece cutting
option on or o. When o, no Standard Pieces will be
cut.
Mark Found Pcs CutWhen you open a job and
Standard Pieces is on, the program searches through
the job for any pieces that match those in your Standard
Piece List. When it nds them, it marks them cut. This
is very important. When the Standard Piece process is
functioning properly, you should already have a supply
of these pieces that have been previously cut and
stored. You don’t want to cut them again with the job. If
you did, you would never use the pieces you had stored.
Mark Found Pcs Cut should always be on when Standard
Pieces is on.
Standard Piece Max Waste – All waste lengths shorter
than this entry will be cut into Standard Pieces. This will
allow you to save long waste pieces (normally found
at the end of a job) for purposes other than Standard
Pieces.
Path to Standard PiecesThis is reference information
only. The location for the StdPcs.trs le cannot be
changed.
NOTE
When you need to review the Standard Pieces List,
