CONDITION CAUSE CHECK CORRECTION
6.9 Automated Infeed Bad
Lumber Load
Warped or crooked lumber Visually inspect lumber before
putting it on the live deck.
Pause or cancel the job, remove the
warped or crooked lumber, then
resume the job.
Controller program error Check the computer desktop for a
bad load error.
Visually inspect lumber queue for a
bad lumber load.
Reset the controller program.
Pause or cancel job in process and
straighten lumber.
Incorrect L1P height Remove the guard on L1P and
check the dimension from the
L1P roller down to the automated
infeed. The height measurement
should be 1 3/8 in.
Check the screws on the air
cylinder to determine if they have
begun to back out.
With the guard o, adjust the roller
to 1 3/8 in.
Tighten screws.
Low air pressure (gauge should
read 80-90 psi.)
Locate the regulator on outfeed of
saw near the bottom of the outside
of the saw cabinet and check the
pressure.
Adjust the regulator.
6.10 Automated Infeed will
not Start
Breaker trip Check breaker CB 208 (inside
printer cabinet) to determine if it
has tripped.
Reset the breaker.
Breaker overload Using the included electrical
schematic, locate the breaker
overload location.
Press the reset button on the
overload.
If the overload continues to trip,
call a qualied electrician to
identify the source of the problem.
Blocked/dirty sensor Visually check sensor for blockage/
debris.
Remove blockage/clean debris
using a cloth and glass cleaner.
6.11 L1 Belt Runs in Reverse
Dirty EDS sensor Open the manual control screen in
the ALS software. Check the colors
of the circles in the top left corner.
They should both be red, if not see
the correction to the right.
Clean the EDS sensors (emitter and
receiver) with a cloth and glass
cleaner.

Open the manual control screen
in the ALS software. If both lights
remain green after they are
cleaned then check sensors and
cabling for visible damage.
