CONDITION CAUSE CHECK CORRECTION
6.12 Pneumatic Cylinder
does not Actuate or
Actuates Slowly
Low Air pressure (Air pressure
should read between 80-90 psi.)
Locate the regulator on outfeed of
saw near the bottom of the outside
of the saw cabinet and check the
pressure.
Adjust the regulator.
Defective air cylinder Listen for air escaping from the
cylinder.
Check for free motion by
disconnecting the air and manually
move the system connected to that
particular air cylinder.
Replace air cylinder.
Trouble moving the system
indicated mechanical blockage.
Remove the mechanical blockage
and repeat the check.
Air leak Listen for air leaks inside and
outside the saw cabinet.
Repair any air leaks immediately
as they will cause the saw to drop
below the required operating
pressures.
Defective solenoid valve Listen for leaks as the solenoid
valve actuates. A leaking valve
could indicate damage to the seals.
Replace solenoid valve.
Mechanical binding Disconnect the air and manually
move axis in question.
If dicult movement is
experienced a bearing may be
near the end of its life, call Alpine
Equipment Customer Service for
further assistance.
6.13 Blade Motor will not
Start
Breaker tripped Check CB 202 breaker in the main
electrical cabinet.
Reset breaker if tripped.
Servo drive error Check codes on the blade motor
servo drive in the electrical cabinet.
It should display “bb” or “run.
Locate the blade reset button on
the inside of the main electrical
cabinet. Hold this reset button for
10-15 seconds. This will reset the
blade motor servo drive and clear
the fault code.
After resetting, if the drive does
not display bb or “run call Alpine
Equipment Customer Service.
Damaged power or feedback
cables
Visually inspect power and
feedback cables.
Replace damaged cables.
Call Alpine Equipment Customer
Service if further assistance is
required.
6.14 Machine Stops during
Cutting Operation
Axis is blocked Visually inspect A1, T1, Z1, B1 (if
equipped) for blockage.
Remove blockage and restart
homing process.
Low Air pressure (Air pressure
should read between 80-90 psi.)
Locate the regulator on outfeed of
saw near the bottom of the outside
of the saw cabinet and check the
pressure.
Adjust the regulator.
Cut out of range Setup the piece in semi-auto mode
and run the cut.
If the cut cannot be completed in
semi-auto call Alpine Equipment
Customer Service for assistance.
Corrupted TRS le Cut a job from a dierent TRS le to
determine if this is the root cause.
Call Alpine Equipment Customer
Service so they can analyze the TRS
le being used.
MPI state error This error will cause the controller
program to close. Check computer
desktop for an error.
To resolve this error, call Alpine
Equipment Customer Service.
