Removal
!MWARNING
Diesel Fuel
Diesel fuel is flammable; keep naked flames away from
the fuel system. Do not smoke while refuelling or
working on the fuel system. Do not refuel with the
engine running. There could be a fire and injury if you
do not follow these precautions.

!MCAUTION
Running the engine with air in the system could
damage the fuel injection pump. After maintenance,
the system must be bled to remove any air.

1 The load bay needs to be raised to gain access to the
engine bay. Ensure that the load bay is properly
supported while working beneath it - refer to the
Handbook.
2 Disconnect the battery before commencing work on
the fuel tank.
3 Drain the fuel tank into a suitable receptacle.
4 Remove the side body panel (fuel filler panel).
5 Remove the seat support crossmember A,

6 Disconnect the wiring from the fuel gauge sender unit
3-B.
7 Disconnect the fuel feed and return hoses 3-A. Plug
the hoses.

8 Remove the fuel tank mounting fasteners and lift the
tank from the chassis.
Replacement
Replacement is the reverse of removal, but note the
following.
1 Apply the rubber strip to the bottom of the fuel tank.
2 Bleed the fuel system, see Section 3 - Routine
Maintenance.
