Changing the Transaxle Oil
1 Park the machine on firm, level ground. Engage the
park brake. Stop the engine.
2 Raise the load bay.
!MWARNING
Make the machine safe before working underneath it.
Park the machine on level ground, lower the
attachments to the ground. Apply the park brake, put
the transmission in neutral and stop the engine. Block
both sides of all four wheels.
Disconnect the battery, to prevent the engine being
started while you are beneath the machine.

!MCAUTION
Oil will gush from the hole when the drain plug is
removed. Hot oil and engine components can burn
you. Keep to one side when you remove the plug.

3 Place a container that can hold at least 4.5 litres (0.99
UK gal) beneath drain plug 18-1.
Remove the plug and allow the oil to drain.
4 Clean and refit the drain plug and sealing washer.
Renew the sealing washer if worn or damaged.

When Refilling
1 Fill the System.
Fill the transmission to the upper mark on the dipstick
with new oil through the filler (K
Checking the
Transaxle Oil Level ( T 3-28)).For recommended oil
grades K Lubricants and Capacities ( T 3-8). Wipe
off any spilt oil. Make sure the filler cap is correctly
fitted.
2 Check for leaks.
3 Run the engine for a few minutes to allow the oil to
circulate.
4 Stop the engine and check for leaks. Recheck the
fluid level and top up if required.
