Checking the ROPS Structure
!MWARNING
The vehicle may be fitted with a Roll Over Protection
Structure (ROPS). You could be killed or seriously
injured if you operate the machine with a damaged or
missing ROPS. If the ROPS has been in an accident,
do not use the machine until the structure has been
renewed. Modifications and repairs that are not
approved by the manufacturer may be dangerous and
will invalidate the ROPS certification.
13-1-1-27_1
Access to the ROPS mounting bolts is obtained by raising
the load bay.
1 Check that mounting bolts 1-A and 1-B are present at
both ends of the ROPS and are correctly tightened to
the correct torque (see opposite).
2 Check the structure for damage and security.
3 If necessary, have the structure repaired by suitably
qualified personnel (consult your JCB distributor).
4 If the damage is severe it will be necessary to obtain
a complete new structure.
