Greasing
Read and understand Lubricants - Health and Safety,
before greasing. You must grease the machine regularly to
keep it working efficiently. Regular greasing will also
lengthen the machine's working life. For the recommended
frequencies K
Service Schedules ( T 3-5).
Note: If working in extremely wet, muddy or dusty
conditions the fittings must be greased more often.
Note: The machine must always be greased after
pressure-washing or steam cleaning.
Greasing should be done with a grease gun. Normally, two
strokes of the gun should be enough. Stop greasing when
fresh grease appears at the joint. Use only JCB HP
Grease.
Before greasing, do the following:
1 Park the machine on firm, level ground and stop the
engine. If the vehicle has a manually operated load
bay, remove the starter key.
2 Raise the load bay. If your vehicle has an electric
tipper, ensure that the starter key is removed
