Hot Gas

Valve.
Evaporator Flow

(FSLL-100) is closed (indicating flow), and displays a
if NO liquid flow is sensed in the evaporator chilled
water piping.
Chilled Liquid Temperature
Displays the Leaving and Return Chilled Liquid Tem-
peratures, from RTD’s TE-100 (Leaving) and TE-101
(Return).

PROGRAMMABLE
Login
The control panel restricts certain operations based on
password entry by the operator. This key allows the
operator to login under a unique user name (as pro-
grammed) and access level (see Figure 11 on Page
22). Users logged in under higher access levels may
perform any actions permitted by lower access levels.
Logout
This key always appears on the control panel display
Home Screen. Pressing this key will return the access
level to “View”. After any setpoint changes are made,
the operator should press the “Logout” key.
Start
This key allows the operator to execute a Start com-
mand, if no start inhibit conditions are existing. It also
allows remote starts to be enabled, when the chiller is
set for REMOTE operation. The START key will illu-
minate lighter green, when the system start is enabled,
waiting for either a pre-lube or a cycling shutdown to
reset.
Soft Stop
This key, available only when the compressor is run-
ning, initiates a “Soft Shutdown”. A soft shutdown
fully closes the pre-rotation vanes prior to shutting
down the compressor, reducing compressor backspin
at shutdown. While the vanes are closing, the Sys-
tem Status line displays “PRIMARY COMPRES-
SOR CONTROLLED STOP”. When the Vane Mo-
tor Switch (VMS) closes, indicating the vanes have
fully closed or programmable maximum timeout has
elapsed (whichever occurs first), the run signal is re-
moved from the compressor motor starter and a “SYS-
TEM COASTDOWN” is performed.
While the vanes are closing, if the Emergency Stop
Switch is pressed or a fault occurs, the chiller will im-
mediately enter system coastdown.
The chiller will not enter a system start if one of the
following faults occur: “Leaving Chilled Liquid Temp
– Low Temperature”, “Remote Stop”, or “Remote har-
wired Start/Stop”.
To restart the chiller after an operator-initiated soft
shutdown, press the “START” button. To clear any ac-
tive fault(s) lockout press the “RESET” and then the
“START” button.
If the restart is not operator-initiated, the
condition may be persistent and the shut-
down condition may re-occur - watch the
system status and system details.
Reset
Use of this key acknowledges a warning or fault lock-
out condition and resets the message display associated
with the condition.
NAVIGATION
System
Advances to an additional chiller system operating
level parameter screen.
Evaporator
Advances to a detailed view of all evaporator param-
eters, including the programmable local leaving chilled
liquid setpoint.
