In the case of carrying out shorter-thread remaining
thread trimming (when condensation is placed in
ON), set values of the condensation pitch and the
number of stitches are adjustable. Adjust those set
values appropriately according to the item to be
sewn.

1) Select "U280" by pressing ❶.
Press ❺.
2) Press ❷ and enter the num-
ber of condensation stitches at the end
of sewing for shorter-thread remaining
thread trimming.
(Factory-set value: 2)
3) Conrm your entry by pressing ❻.
Then, the sewing screen is displayed.
1) Select "U281" by pressing ❶.
Press ❺.
2) Press ❷ and enter the con-
densation pitch at the end of sewing for
shorter-thread remaining thread trimming.
(Factory-set value: S type 0.3; H type
0.5)
3) Conrm your entry by pressing ❻.
Then, the sewing screen is displayed.
If the condensation pitch is decreased, the phenomenon where the needle enters the same
needle entry point will likely to occur, resulting in unstable formation of thread loop at the time
of thread trimming. As a result, thread trimming fault is likely to occur. It is therefore necessary
to adjust the condensation pitch carefully. (The needle entry phenomenon differs according to
the material to be sewn and the needle count, the pitch should be increased if thread trimming
failure occurs.)
