Setting speed
Speed is set from the SPEED ACCURACY MENU and is structured as follows. Use Section 1,
“Rules to navigate menus,” to check and/or change the speed setting.
SPEED-ACCURACY MENU
Press the SPEED key (or press the CONFIG key and then the SPEED key) to display the menu
(Figure 4-1).
• FAST: Sets speed to 0.01 PLC and sets display resolution to 3½ digits.
• MED: Sets speed to 0.10 PLC and sets display resolution to 4½ digits.
• NORMAL: Sets speed to 1.00 PLC and sets display resolution to 5½ digits.
• HI ACCURACY: Sets speed to 10.00 PLC and sets display resolution to 6½ digits.
• OTHER: Use to set speed to any PLC value from 0.01 to 10. Display resolution is not
changed when speed is set with this option.
NOTE The SPEED setting is global and affects both channels. After setting speed, display
resolution for the single-channel display mode can be changed using the DIGITS key.

Speed commands
Table 4-4 summarizes commands to control speed. Although commands for both channel 1 and
channel 2 are included, the NPLC setting is global and affects both channels. See Section 16 for
more information.
Speed programming example
Send the following command to set the speed for both channel 1 and channel 2 to 10 PLC:
:SENS1:CURR:NPLC 10
