Monitoring of computed channel is only available during scanning and will only display the reading from the most
recent sweep.
Measurement scaling and alarm limits are applied to the selected channel during a Monitor and all alarm data is
stored in the alarm queue (which will be cleared if power fails).
For 4-wire resistance measurements, the instrument automatically pairs channel n in Bank 1 with channel n+10
(DAQM900A or DAQM901A) or n+8 (DAQM902A) to provide the source and sense connections.
The count on a totalizer channel is not reset when it is being monitored (the Monitor ignores the totalizer reset
mode).
In DMM Digitize mode, no measurements are taken for monitor operations on the single channel configured for
digitizing while the instrument is in the "wait-for-trigger" state with pretrigger count is zero. However if the pre-
trigger count is not zero, there will be monitor data while the instrument is in the "wait-for-trigger" state.
In DMM Digitize mode, monitor operations on the digital modules (DAQM907A) is not supported.
ROUTe:MONitor:DATA?
Reads the monitor data from the selected channel. It returns the reading only; the units, time, channel, and alarm
information are not returned (the FORMat:READing commands do not apply to monitor readings). If no data is avail-
able for the specified channel, instrument returns 9.91E37 (not a number).
Parameter Typical return

Query returns reading from the monitor channel:ROUT:MON:DATA?
If the Monitor mode is not currently enabled, this query returns 9.91E37 (not a number).
Readings acquired during a Monitor are not stored in reading memory but they are displayed on the front panel;
however, all readings from a scan in progress at the same time are stored in reading memory.
ROUTe:MONitor:DATA:FULL?
Reads the monitor data from the selected channel. It returns all the reading with the units, time, channel, and alarm
information (all the FORMat:READing enabled commands apply to this monitor readings). If no data is available for
the specified channel, the instrument returns 9.91E37 (not a number).
Parameter Typical return
(none) (none)
Query returns full reading from the monitor channel:ROUT:MON:DATA:FULL?
If the Monitor mode is not currently enabled, this query returns 9.91E37 (not a number).
Readings acquired during a Monitor are not stored in reading memory but they are displayed on the front panel;
however, all readings from a scan in progress at the same time are stored in reading memory.
