Driving your vehicle Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)
僅 Your vehicle, the warning light on the
side view mirror will blink and a warn

ing message will appear on the clus

ter. At the same time, an audible
warning will sound.
僅 Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoid

ance Assist will operate when the fol
-
lowing conditions are satisfied:
-Your vehicle gear is shifted to R
(Reverse)
- Your vehicle speed is below 8 km/h
(5 mph)
- The approaching vehicle is within
approximately 1.5 m (5 ft.) from the
left or right side of your vehicle
- The speed of the vehicle approach
-
ing from the left or right side is
above 5 km/h (3 mph)
僅 Emergency braking will be assisted to
help prevent collision with approach
-
ing vehicles from the left and right.
僅 Brake control will end when:
- The approaching vehicle is out of
the detecting range
- The approaching vehicle passes
behind your vehicle
- The approaching vehicle does not
drive toward your vehicle
- The approaching vehicle speed
slows down
- The driver depresses the brake
pedal with sufficient power
Stopping vehicle and ending
brake control
When the vehicle is stopped due to
emergency braking, the 'Drive carefully'
warning message will appear on the
cluster.
For your safety, the driver should
depress the brake pedal immediately
and check the surroundings.
僅 Brake control will end after the vehicle
is stopped by emergency braking for
approximately 2 seconds.
僅 During emergency braking, braking

sion-Avoidance Assist will automati

cally cancel when the driver
excessively depresses the brake
pedal.
僅 For your safety, change the settings
after parking the vehicle at a safe
location.
僅 If any other function’s warning mes

sage may not be displayed and
audible warning may not be gener
