Touching metal parts
Do not touch metal parts (including strut
bars) whilst the vehicle is operating or
hot. Doing so could result in serious
bodily injury. Turn the vehicle off and
wait until the metal parts cool down to
perform maintenance work on the vehi

cle.
Owner maintenance
The following lists detail the vehicle
checks and inspections that should be
performed by the owner or an
authorised Kia dealer. They should be
performed at the indicated frequencies
to help ensure the safe and dependable
operation of your vehicle.
Any adverse conditions should be
brought to the attention of your dealer
as soon as possible.
These owner maintenance checks are
generally not covered by warranties and
you may be charged for labour, parts
and lubricants used.
When you stop for fuel:
僅 Check the coolant level in coolant res

ervoir.
僅 Check the windscreen washer fluid
level.
僅 Look for low or under-inflated tyres.
僅 Check if the front of the radiator and
condenser are clean and not blocked
with leaves, dirt or insects etc. If any
of the above parts are extremely dirty
or you are not sure of their condition,
we recommend that you contact a
professional workshop. Kia recom

mends to visit an authorised Kia
dealer/service partner.
Hot coolant
Be careful when checking your engine
coolant level when the engine is hot.
Scalding hot coolant and steam may
blow out under pressure.
