Maintenance Brake/clutch fluid
Never mix different types of fluid.
In the event the brake system requires
frequent additions of fluid, we recom
-
mend that the system be checked by a
professional workshop. Kia recommends
to visit an authorised Kia dealer/service
partner.
When changing and adding brake/
clutch fluid, handle it carefully. Do not let
it come in contact with your eyes. If
brake/clutch fluid should come in con
-
tact with your eyes, immediately flush
them with a large quantity of fresh tap
water. Have your eyes examined by a
doctor as soon as possible.
Brake/clutch fluid
Do not allow brake/clutch fluid to con
-
tact the vehicle's body paint, as paint
damage will result.
The brake/clutch fluid constantly
absorbs moisture from the air. This low
-
ers the boiling point of the brake/clutch
fluid. If the boiling point is too low,
vapour pockets may form in the brake
system when the brakes are applied
hard.
Brake/clutch fluid, which has been
exposed to open air for an extended
time should never be used as its quality
cannot be guaranteed. It should be dis
-
posed of properly.
To maintain your vehicle`s best brake
and ABS/ESC performance, use Kia gen
-
uine brake fluid or those of an equiva
-
lent standard brake fluid as in the
specification. (Classification : SAE J1704
