Insert the key, turn it once clockwise,
and then it is located on ACC posi-
tion and the work lamp and wiper
can be operated. turn it once more
clockwise and then electric circuit is
connected and it is located on KEY
ON position.At KEY ON position,
the engine oil pressure lamp(red)
and the electric charging warn-
ing lamp(red) illuminate, preheating
is automatically operated, the pre-
heating lamp(Orange) illuminates

GLOW START
for about 8 sec., and then turned off.
If the key switch is fully turned right
with the clutch pedal depressed, the
starter motor is started and the en-
gine is runned. If the key is free from
the hand, it is returned to the KEY
ON position.The engine is runned,
the engine oil pressure warning lamp
and electric chargning warning lamp
are turned off.In case of manual pre-
heating, hold the key on the preheat-
ing position during the preheating
time between KEY ON and STATER.

IMPORTANT
Because of the safety device,
the engine may not be started
except when the clutch is dis-
engaged.
NOTE
When ambient temperatures are
colder, a longer pre-heat time is
necessary.
WARNING
Do not operate the starter mo-
tor continuously for more than
10 seconds.
If the engine does not start;
turn the switch to “OFF”, wait
30 seconds, and repeat the
starting procedure.
Never engage the starter mo-
tor before the engine stops
turning.
