Modulation Sources
Controllers
O
is means that no modulation source is selected.
Mod Wheel CC 1
is is the standard Mod Wheel (unipolar MIDI CC#1).
Kaoss Bttn CC 12
is is the front-panel KAOSS button on the hardware modwave (unipolar MIDI CC#12).
Damper CC 64
is is the damper or sustain pedal (unipolar MIDI CC#64).
Pitch Bend
is is the Pitch Bend wheel (MIDI Pitch Bend). You can use this as a modulator, in addition to its hard-wired control
of pitch.
For the direct control of pitch, each Program has settings for Pitch Bend Range Up and Down. ese are set by the
numbers next to the Pitch Bend wheel in the Keyboard section of the Mod Source panel. Up and Down can be set
independently, from -60 to +60 semitones.
Velocity
is is the note-on velocity, representing how hard the note is played on the keyboard.
Exponential Velocity
is is MIDI note-on velocity through an exponential curve. Low velocities won’t have very much eect, and the
dierences between lower velocities won’t be very noticeable. On the other hand, high velocities produce increasingly
greater eects, and the dierences between higher velocities will be more pronounced.
Release Velocity
is is the note-o velocity, representing how quickly the note is released from the keyboard.
Gate and Gate+Damper
Gate is triggered by a new note aer all notes have been released, such as at the beginning of a phrase. Gate+Damper is
similar, except that it is triggered by a new note-on aer all notes and the damper are released.
Note-On Trig and NoteTrig+Damp
Note-On Trig is similar to Gate, but it triggers with every new note-on, even in the middle of a legato phrase.
NoteTrig+Damp includes the damper pedal in the equation, as shown in the diagram below.
