11.5 Adjusting the rebound damping of the shock absorber
Caution
Danger of accidentsDisassembly of pressurized parts can lead to injury.
The shock absorber is filled with high density nitrogen. Adhere to the description provided. (Your authorized KTM workshop
will be glad to help.)
Preparatory work
Deactivate the vehicle. ( p. 37)
Fold the seat up. ( p. 63)
Remove the KTM PowerPack. ( p. 94)
Mount the covering cap. ( p. 64)

Turn adjusting screw
clockwise up to the last perceptible click.

Turn adjusting screw
clockwise up to the last perceptible click.
Turn counterclockwise by the number of clicks corresponding to the shock absorber
type.

Rebound damping
Comfort 20 clicks
Standard 15 clicks
Sport 10 clicks

Turn clockwise to increase damping; turn counterclockwise to reduce damp-
ing during rebound of the shock absorber.
Finishing work
Install the KTM PowerPack. ( p. 94)
Lock the seat. ( p. 63)

Raise the motorcycle with the lift stand. ( p. 49)

Measure the distance as vertical as possible between the rear axle and another
fixed point, for example, a mark on the rear fairing.
Note down the value as dimension
