Charging roller unit Check if there is no toner streaks
on the surface of the charging
roller.
If the charging roller has streaks on its surface,
clean the charging roller. Replace the charging
roller, if necessary.

Drum unit Check if the drum is dirty on its
surface.
Execute drum refreshing.
(System Menu >Adjustment / Maintenance)
Check if the drum has scratches.
Check whether the edge of the
cleaning blade is damaged.
Check whether it is abraded or
paper dusts are accumulated.
Check whether toner is accumu-
lated in the cleaning section.
Replace the drum unit. (Perform U119)
