Removingtheairbaffle
Whenyouworkwithsomeoptionaldevices,youmustfirstremovetheairbaffletoaccesscertain
componentsorconnectorsonthesystemboard.Thefollowingillustrationshowshowtoremovetheair
baffle.
Toremovetheairbaffle,completethefollowingsteps:

Step2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables
(see“Turningofftheserver”onpage23
).
Step3.Removethecover(see“Removingthecover”onpage195).
Step4.RemovePCIriser-cardassemblies,ifnecessary(see“RemovingaPCIriser-cardassembly”on
page221).
Step5.Placeyourfingersunderthefrontandbackofthetopoftheairbaffle;then,lifttheairbaffle
outoftheserver.
