ToinstalltheMicrosoftWindowsServer2008R2operatingsystemwithServicePack1,dothefollowing:
1.Inserttheoperatingsysteminstallationdiscintotheopticaldrivethatyouhavesetasthefirststartup
device.Then,starttheserverfromtheopticaldrive.
2.WhenthemessagePressanykeytobootfromcdordvd...isdisplayed,pressanykey.Ifthemessage
WindowsSetup[EMSEnabled]isdisplayed,pressEnter.Waitseveralminutesforthesystemtoload
thefiles.
3.Whenthe“Enteryourlanguageandotherpreferences”windowisdisplayed,configurethelanguage
andotherrequiredoptionsandthenclickNext.
4.ClickInstallnow.
5.Selecttheoperatingsystemthatyouwanttoinstall.Then,clickNext.
6.ReadthelicensetermsandselectIacceptthelicenseterms.Then,clickNext.
7.Selectthetypeofinstallationyouneed.ThefollowingstepsarebasedonthescenariothatCustom:
(Advanced)isselectedinthisstep.
8.Inthe“WheredoyouwanttoinstallWindows?”window,clickLoaddriver.
9.ConnecttheUSBstoragedevicethatcontainsthedrivertoyourserver,andthengotothefolder
wherethedriverisstored.
10.ClickOK.The“Selectthedrivertoinstall”windowisdisplayed.
11.SelectHidedriversthataren’tcompatiblewiththiscomputer’shardware,andthenselectthedriver
thatyouwanttoinstallonyourserver.ClickNext.
12.Inthe“WheredoyouwanttoinstallWindows?”window,clickDriveoptions(advanced).
13.Selecttheharddiskdriveonwhichyouwanttoinstalltheoperatingsystem,andthenclickNew.
14.Typetheamountofspace(inMB),andthenclickApply.ClickOKifprompted.
15.Selectthedrivepartitiononwhichyouwanttoinstalltheoperatingsystem,andthenclickNext.The
installationbegins.
Note:Y ourserverwillrestartseveraltimesduringtheinstallation.
16.Changeyourpasswordwhenprompted.
Note:Thepasswordmustbeacombinationofuppercaseletters,lowercaseletters,andnumbers.
17.Followtheinstructionsonthescreentologintotheoperatingsystemwhenprompted.
