31.Enteryourusernameandpasswordtocompletetheinstallationandlogintotheoperatingsystem.
InstallingthedriverforanEthernetcard
ToinstallthedriverforanEthernetcard,dothefollowing:
1.DownloadthedriverfromtheLenovoSupportWebsite.Themostup-to-datedevicedriversforvarious
servermodelsarealwaysavailableontheLenovoSupportWebsiteat:
http://www.lenovo.com/drivers
2.Ifthedriverisacompressedfile,unzipittoafolder.CopythefoldertoaUSBstoragedeviceand
connecttheUSBstoragedevicetoyourserver.
3.LogintotheoperatingsystemandcopythefolderfromtheUSBstoragedevicetothe/tmpdirectory
onyourserver.
4.Usethefollowingcommandstoinstallthedriver:
cd/tmp
tarzxvfe1000e-x.x.x.x.tar.gz
cde1000e-x.x.x.x/src
makeinstall
Notes:
•Ifthefileextensionisnot.tar.gz,skipthesecondcommand.
•Inthecommandlines,e1000erepresentsthedrivername.x.x.x.xrepresentsthedriverversion.Use
thecorrespondingdrivernamedriverversiononyourserver.
5.Restartyourserver.
6.ConfiguretheIPaddressoftheEthernetcardbydoingthefollowing:
a.ClickSystemonthetop-leftcornerofthewindow,andthenselectNetworkfromtheAdministration
drop-downlistbox.
b.Inthenetworkconfigurationwindow,selecttheEthernetcardandclickEdit.
c.SelectStaticallysetIPaddresses,andthentypetheIPaddressintheManualIPAddress
Settingstextbox.Then,clickOK.
d.Gobacktotheconfigurationwindow,andthenclickActivate.Then,clickYes➙OK.
e.ConfigureotherEthernetcardsifneeded.
Installingthedriverforanonboardgraphicscard
Toinstallthedriverforanonboardgraphicscard,dothefollowing:
1.DownloadthedriverfromtheLenovoSupportWebsite.Themostup-to-datedevicedriversforvarious
servermodelsarealwaysavailableontheLenovoSupportWebsiteat:
