RedHatEnterpriseLinux,orSUSELinuxEnterpriseServeroperatingsystem.
InstallingthedriveronaWindowsoperatingsystem
ToinstallthedriverforthePMC8885ecardonaWindowsoperatingsystem,dothefollowing:
1.DownloadthecorrespondingdriverfromtheLenovoWebsite.Ifthedriverisacompressedfile,unzipit
toafolder.Themostup-to-datedevicedriversforvariousservermodelsarealwaysavailablefor
downloadontheLenovoWebsiteat:
http://www.lenovo.com/drivers
2.CopythefolderthatcontainsthedrivertoyourUSBstoragedeviceandconnecttheUSBstorage
devicetoyourserver.
3.OpentheDeviceManagerwindow.Right-clickRAIDcontrollerandthenselectUpdateDriver
Software.
4.IntheUpdateDriverSoftwarewindow,clickBrowsemycomputerfordriversoftware.
5.Inthe“Browsefordriversoftwareonyourcomputer”window,clickBrowse...tolocatethedriver
youwanttoinstall.
6.ClickOKNext.
7.Whenthemessage“Windowshassuccessfullyupdatedyourdriversoftware”isdisplayed,clickClose.
InstallingthedriveronaHyper-Voperatingsystem
ToinstallthedriverforthePMC8885ecardonaHyper-Voperatingsystem,dothefollowing:
1.DownloadthecorrespondingdriverfromtheLenovoWebsite.Ifthedriverisacompressedfile,unzipit
toafolder.Themostup-to-datedevicedriversforvariousservermodelsarealwaysavailablefor
downloadontheLenovoWebsiteat:
http://www.lenovo.com/drivers
2.CopythefolderthatcontainsthedrivertoyourUSBstoragedeviceandconnecttheUSBstorage
devicetoyourserver.
3.UsethePnputil-i-a<driverinf>commandtoinstallthedriver,forexample:

Pnputil–i–aarcsas.inf
Note:Inthecommandlines,e:representsthedriveletterofyourUSBstoragedevice,Management
representsthesubdirectorywhereyourdriverislocated,andarcsas.infrepresentsthedrivername.
Usethecorrespondingfilenameonyourserver.
4.Restartyourserveraftertheinstallationiscompleted.
InstallingthedriveronaSUSELinuxEnterpriseServeroperatingsystem
ToinstallthedriverforthePMC8885ecardonaSUSELinuxEnterpriseServeroperatingsystem,do
thefollowing:
1.DownloadthecorrespondingdriverfromtheLenovoWebsite.Ifthedriverisacompressedfile,unzip
