25.IntheSELinuxwindow,checkandconfigurethesettings,andthenclickForward.
26.IntheKdumpwindow,configurethesettings,andthenclickForward.
27.Setyourtimeanddate,andthenclickForward.
28.IntheSetUpSoftwareUpdateswindow,configurethesettings,andthenclickForward.
29.IntheFinishUpdateSetupwindow,clickForward.
30.SetyourusernameandpasswordintheCreateUserwindow,andthenclickForward.
31.IntheSoundCardwindow,configurethesettings,andthenclickForward.
32.WhentheAdditionalCDswindowisdisplayedaskingyouifyouneedtoinstalladditionalsoftware
programsfromaCDorDVD,dependingonyourneeds,clickInstalltocontinueorclickFinishto
completetheinstallation.
33.Enteryourusernameandpasswordtologintotheoperatingsystem.
InstallingthedriverforanEthernetcard
Note:BeforeinstallingthedriverforanEthernetcard,ensurethatthekernel-sourcepackageandthe
correspondingcompilerareinstalledonyourserver.
ToinstallthedriverforanEthernetcard,dothefollowing:
1.CopythedriverfortheEthernetcardfromtheThinkServerEasyStartupDVDtoyourlocaldrive.
Double-clicktheEXEfiletounzipittoafolder.CopythefoldertoaUSBstoragedeviceandconnect
theUSBstoragedevicetoyourserver.
2.LogintotheoperatingsystemandcopythefolderfromtheUSBstoragedevicetothe/tmpdirectory
onyourserver.
3.Usethefollowingcommandstoinstallthedriver:
cd/tmp
cde1000e
./install
Note:Inthecommandlines,e1000erepresentsthedrivername.Usethecorrespondingfilename
onyourserver.
4.Restartyourserver.
5.ConfiguretheIPaddressoftheEthernetcardbydoingthefollowing:
a.ClickSystemonthetop-leftcornerofthewindow,andthenselectNetworkfromtheAdministration
drop-downlistbox.
b.Inthenetworkconfigurationwindow,selecttheEthernetcardandclickEdit.
