7.2. Bar feeder setup
All handling, adjustments, and settings that need to be done on the bar feed system for executing a part
are included in the start-up.
This section presents a brief explanation of the start-up parameters of the bar feed system.
Collet changeover
This parameter is for replacing the collet
, the pusher and barrel
indexation, when changing diameter.
Diameter changeover
With this param
eter, the reduction tube can be replaced and the
barrel indexed when
changing diameter.
Clamping device: By pulling / By pushing
The interface signal is reversed depending on whether the clamping
device functions by pushing or by pulling.
It is therefore essential to know the operation of the clamping device,
without this, the feeding process cannot be done correctly.
