APPENDIX H: REPLACING THE HARD DRIVE
The system comes with a pre-installed 3.5" SATA hard drive. You can expand the system with a
replacement single hard drive up to 1 terabyte (TB).
NOTE: Mak
e sure that the system is OFF and the power cable has been disconnected before
ch
anging the hard drive.
Removing the Hard Drive
To remove the hard drive:
1. Remove the screws from the side panel (x2) and rear panel (x5) of the cover.
2. Gently slide the cover away from the rear panel and lift off.
3. Disconnect the power and data cables.
4. Remove the screws from the mounting brack
ets (see figure 38.1).
5. Gently remove the hard drive from the housing.
