      If you're unable to connect to your Lorex DVR on a local network, here are a couple of things to check: * Ensure the DVR is connected to the router using an Ethernet cable from the DVR LAN port. After connecting, reset the DVR using the power switch. * Verify that both your DVR and computer are on the same network. If your computer is using WiFi, try connecting it to the router with an Ethernet cable.

If this is the case, open the housing and install a 3.5" SATA hard drive. Remember to format the drive after installation.

      If there's no picture on selected channels, or if the camera picture isn't being displayed on your Lorex DVR, it might be due to loose or disconnected camera cables. Check the camera video cable and connections, disconnect and reconnect the cable at both the system and the camera. You might also try moving the camera to another channel or using a different cable.
