Setting the Date and Time
Using a NTP Server to set your System Time
A NTP (Network Time Protocol) server syncs your system time with an online time server.
Lorex provides a free NTP service that allows your DVR to automatically update the time
for Daylight Savings Time.
NOTE: A c
onstant Internet connection is required to use the NTP feature.
To enable NTP:
1 Right-click
to open the Menu Bar and click the Main Menu button ( ).

ick System. Beside NTP, click Setup.

nfigure the following:

ble: Select Enable.
• Ser
ver Address: Select ntp.lorexddns.net (recommended) as the time server or select
another time server.
• Ti
me Zone: Select your region’s time zone.
4 Cl
ick Update Now to connect to the time server.
5 Cl
ick Apply to save your settings.
Select Enable
Select ntp.lorexddns.net
Select your Time Zone
Click Update Now to connect
to the server
Click Apply to save your settings
