Technical Manual LÖWEN Dart HB8
01/2019 29
Shanghai
Each player has three darts per round. The object is to hit each segment in sequence, beginning with
segment 1, working up to segment 20, and ending with the Bullseye. Winner is the player with the highest
score after seven rounds or a “Shanghai”. The machine will prompt the next segment for each player during
each round. A “Shanghai” is an automatic win achieved by throwing three consecutive scoring darts
consisting of a single, a double, and a triple segment in any order.
Example: Player hits 4, 5 and 6 in the 4th round. First the single 4, then the double 5, then the triple 6:
This qualifies as “Shanghai”.
Rapid Fire
Aim is to hit designated segments in a designated time frame. Each player selects their own individual time
handicap by pressing target segments (time is measured in ticks, pls compare P14 SELrPd). Bulleye gives
21 ticks and is the maximum. The designated segments are displayed at the start of the round. Each player
starts by throwing the first dart on the first designated segment. The timer starts when the first dart hits the
board. The second and third dart must be thrown at the next designated segments but prior to the elapse of
the timer. Only the flashing designated segment can be scored upon. Each segment hit is displayed in the
left side of the Cricket display. Each sector of the target is designated once during the game. Winner is the
player with the highest score after seven rounds. In case of equal scores, the player with the highest amount
of remaining time (number of LEDs) is the winner.
Stop Watch
(Spain, France)
Each player begins with 21 “ticks” of time in which they may score. The adjustable timer automatically begins
at the start of each player’s turn, based on the setting of F18 Stop Watch – Game Timer Start. Each player
throws 3 darts per round for the highest score. Player’s timer continues ticking off time until the third and last
dart of each player’s turn. All unused time is carried over to the next round. The maximum time allowed for
any round is determined by the operator (pls compare P15 Sweep Times) and may range from 2 to 9 ticks
per round. Each player’s round ends after the third dart is scored, or upon elapse of the timer – whichever
occurs first. Play continues until each player has used all of his time. Players are eliminated as their time
expires. Winner is the player with the highest score once all players’ times have expired.
