PRESSURE COMPENSATION
The MOD53 can accept a 4-20 mA input from a pressure transmitter to permit
automatic compensation for variations in the pressure. If it is available, set the “P
Comp” parameter to “Auto”. If not, set the “P Comp” parameter to “Manual” and
set the measurement pressure at the “Input Pressure” parameter. The units for
pressure display can be set to either “Bar”, “Atm”, “psi”, “kPa”, “m H
2
O” or “mm
Hg” at the “P Units” parameter. Variations of pressure can have a significant on
the sensor output..
SIMULATED INPUT
The facility exists within the MOD53 to simulate the input sensor levels to test the
set point and current output operation. This function allows the user to cycle up
and down through the sensor range using the “UP” and “DOWN” keys and display
the current output level, with the relays responding accordingly.
To select the Simulate menu item from the Parameters menu, press the “ENTER”
key. The unit will now display the simulation menu. Pressing the “UP” and
“DOWN” keys will cycle the displayed value between its minimum and maximum
levels in steps of 1%. The relays and current output will respond as if the displayed
value were an actual input, thus allowing the user to debug the set point and
current output configurations.
