Searchlight NMEA Tracking (optional)
The control system have the possibility of listening to NMEA-data through the ebox serial port
(NMEA 0183) and use it for positioning the searchlight, the function is limited to specific parts of
the TTM and RSD sentences.3G searchlight systems now have the possibility of listening to
NMEA-data through the ebox serial port. A switch connected to the ebox will activate the
searchlight positioning according to incoming message.
NMEA Priority
Tracking is done using the following priority order:
1. TTM number currently locked on.
2. TTM next number.
3. RSD valid VRM1/EBL1 combination.
4. RSD valid VRM2/EBL2 combination.
5. RSD cursor value.
TTM. The searchlight will follow (if the switch is activated) the first radar target that comes in
and holds on its number until it disappears from the list, after this there is a timeout of 10
messages before the searchlight locks on the next target which in itself doesn’t have to be the
next number in the list but the next message we receive.
