FIRST INSPECTION
After the first 10 hours or 500 km (300 mi) of operation, whichever comes first,
your vehicle have to be inspected by an authorized Lynx dealer, repair shop or
person of your own choosing. The first inspection is very important and must not
be neglected.
NOTE: The first inspection is at the expense of the vehicle owner.
FIRST INSPECTION (2-STROKE) AFTER THE FIRST 500 KM (300 MI) OR
10 HOURS OF OPERATION, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST
Inspect engine motor mo unts
Inspect exhaust system and check for leaks
Tighten exhaust m anifold screws to specified torque
ENGINE
Check coolant level
Inspect fuel lines and connections
FUEL
SYSTEM
Inspect throttle cable
Inspect drive belt
Visually inspect drive pulley
Tighten drive pulley retaining screw to specified torque
Inspect driven pulley
Adjust and align track
Change chaincase / g earbox oil
Adjust drive chain (except models with ge arbox)
Check brake fluid level
DRIVE
SYSTEM AND
BRAKE
Inspect brake hose, pads and disk
Inspect steering mechanism
STEERING
SYSTEM
Inspect skis and runners
Tighten frame pyramid rod screws to 14 N•m (124 lbf•in)
FRAME
Retigthen re ar member screws to fram e to specified torque REX2
35 N•m (2 6 lbf•ft))
Inspect front suspension
Inspect rear suspension (including stoppe r straps and slide r shoes)
Lubricate front and rear suspensio n
SUSPENSION
Retighten PPS2 rear axle bolt 1/4 turn
BODY
Adjust seat lock plate
