Turn off up- or downstream sample gas pumps before
decommissioning!
When the EC-30C is out of operation, one of the gas lines through the deep-cooler will
always remain open. If a sample gas pump is in-line before or after the EC-30C, down-
stream analyzing units can be damaged.
Turn off the sample gas pump before decommissioning the EC-30C.
It is recommended to connect the status contact output with an external sample gas
pump or a solenoid valve in the gas line. In case of an alarm message this can protect the
whole analyzing system by immediate interruption of the gas supply.
The alarm relay of the EC-30C can be used to interrupt the gas supply either by turning off
the sample gas pump or by triggering the shut-off solenoid valve.

In case of a short-term decommissioning of the cooler no special measures are required.
In case of a long-term decommissioning of the coolers we recommend to purge the cool-
er with inert gas or air.
Remove residual condensate entirely from the cooler.

Wenn Sie annehmen müssen, dass ein bestimmungsgemäßer und gefahrloser Betrieb des Geräts nicht mehr
möglich ist, nehmen Sie dieses Gerät sofort außer Betrieb und sichern Sie dieses gegen unbefugte Inbetrieb-
nahme. Bringen Sie hierzu ggf. auch gut sichtbare Hinweise auf dem Gerät an.
Vor Außerbetriebnahme, d.h. Abschalten der Beheizung, sollte die Sonde mit Inertgas oder Luft gespült
werden, um eine Kondensation von aggressiven Bestandteilen aus dem Prozessgas zu vermeiden.
