Engine coolant heater (if equipped)
Thisheaterisinstalledintheengineblockandkeepsthe

Connecttheconnectorplug(1)ontheengineblocktoan
electricalsupply.
NOTE: If required, use a three-wire extension of proper
capacity.
Other tractors
Connecttheconnectorplug(1)besidetheright-handstep
toanelectricalsupply.

capacity.

Makesure that the PTO clutch control is on the disen-
gagedposition.
FortractorswithfrontPTO,disengagethecontrolswitch.
Checkthattheauxiliarycontrolvalvesleversarein
neutralposition.
IMPORTANT: The control of the rear PTO clutch MUST be
in the disengaged position or the starter motor will not
operate.

MovethethrottlelevertotheFULLopenposition.

Mechanicalengine
Press the top part of the thermostarter (1) for 10-15
seconds,thenturntheignitionkeyonthestartposition.
Duringthestarting,thethermostarterswitchshouldbe
keptdepressed notlongerthan 30seconds.Whenthe
enginehasstarted,bringthethrottleon1/3oftheopen
positionandlettheenginerunfor2minutes.
NOTE: If the engine does not start and no alarm is heard,
check that ALL controls are in NEUTRAL. If the engine
operates erratically, press the thermostarter button again
while the engine is running. If the engine does not start
in the first 15 seconds then repeat the procedure, but
push the thermostart button for only 10 seconds. If the
engine still does not start, DO NOT try to start it again for
3 minutes at least.

Oncetheenginehasstarted,checkthatallindicatorlamps
andgaugesaregivingnormalindicationsand,whenthe
engineis warm,thecoolanttemperatureindicatorisin
thecorrectarea.
IMPORTANT: If the indicator lamps or gauges do not
give the correct indications, STOP THE ENGINE IMMEDI-
ATELY AND CHECK FOR THE CAUSE.
