module operating modes
The MPC4
Mk2
module has a number of different operating modes, as shown in Figure 4-1.

when diagnostics (BIST)
detects a problem
• Locked (safety/secure
operating mode) or
• Unlocked (maintenance
operating mode)
Includes power-on
self-test (POST)
Note:
The LOCK LED
indicates the Operational mode.
LOCK ●: Locked.
LOCK ●: Unlocked.
(After a successful POST,
the MPC4
Mk2
module
automatically enters the
Operational mode. But if the
POST is not successful, the
module enters the Fail-safe
mode.)
Allows operational
firmware to be updated
(and clears the modules
configuration)
Note
The DIAG/STATUS LED
indicates the Fail-safe mode.
