thereisawarningsignwritten"AIRBAG".
AirbagWarningLamp
Theairbagwarninglamp,mountedinthe
instrumentpack,willremindyouanymalfunctionofthe
airbagsor/andseatbeltpre-tensioner.Thewarninglamp
willilluminateasasystemcheckwhentheignitionswitch
isinposition2andwillextinguishafterapproximately
seconds.
Ifanyofthefollowingsoccur,thesystemshouldbe
inspectedbylocalMGAuthorisedRepairer:
•Thewarninglampfailstoilluminatewhentheignition
switchisinposition2.
•Thewarninglampfailstoextinguishwhentheignition
switchisinposition2.
•Thewarninglampilluminateswhilethecarisdriving.
AirbagDeployment
Incorrectsittingposture,sittingonorleaning
againstthepositionsclosetoairbagmaylead
tosevereorevenfatalpersonalinjurywhen
theairbagisdeployed.
Tominimizetheinjuriescausedbythe
deployedairbags,seatbeltsmustbeworn
properlyatalltimes.Driverandfront
passengermusttakecorrectsittingposture
andadjusttheirseattokeepsufcient
distancefromfrontairbags,soastoavoid
seriousinjuryordeathcausedbydeployed
airbags.
Whenairbagsaredeployed,childrenwithout
properprotectionmaysufferfromserious
injuryorevendeath.Donotcarrychildren
inthearmsoronthekneesduringtraveling.
Donotallowchildrenrideunprotected,and
itisprohibitedtostretchanypartofthebody
outofwindow.
