Thepurposeoftheparkingaidistoassistthe
driverinreversing!Thesensorsmaynotbe
abletodetectobstaclesofcertaintype,e.g.
narrowpostsorsmallobjectsnomorethan
afewincheswide,smallobjectsclosetothe
ground,objectsabovethetailgateandsome
objectswithnon-reectivesurfaces.
Keepthesensorsfreefromdirt,iceandsnow.
Ifdepositsbuilduponthesurfaceofthe
sensors,theirperformancemaybeimpaired.
Inacarwash,avoidaiminghighpressure
waterjetsdirectlyatthesensorsfromclose
range.
RearParkingAid
Threeultrasonicsensorsintherearbumperscanthearea
behindthevehicletodetectifthereisanyobstacle.Ifan
obstacleisdetected,thesensorcalculatesitsdistancefrom
therearofthevehicleandcommunicatesthisinformation
tothedriverbysoundingwarningchimes.
ParkingAidOperation
WhentheignitionswitchisinONposition,therear
parkingaidisenabledautomaticallywhentheReverse
gearisselected;andwhenitisoutofReversegear,the
systemwillbeimmediatelyoff.Ashortbeepisgivenby
theparkingaidwithin1secondafterselectingReverse
geartoindicatethatthesystemisoperatingnormally.
Note:AfterselectingtheReversegear,ifthesystem
makesconsecutivehigh-pitchsoundsfor3seconds,it
meansthatsomethingiswrongwiththesystem,please
contactalocalAuthorisedRepairerforservice.
