Ifyouneedtochangethewheelduringthejourney,choose
asafeplacetostopawayfromthemainthoroughfareif
possible.Alwaysaskyourpassengerstogetoutofthecar
andwaitinasafeareaawayfromothertrafc.
T urnonthehazardwarninglamp,ifconditionpermits,
placeawarningtrianglewhichisapproximately100meters
awaybehindthevehicletowarnothervehicles.
Beforereplacingthewheel,keepthefrontwheelsinthe
straightforwarddirection.Pulluptheparkingbrake,and
placetheshiftleveroftheautomatictransmissionin"P"
gear,andthatofthemanualtransmissioninNgear.
Observethefollowingprecautions:
•Ensurethejackispositionedonrm,levelground.
•Ifvehicleshavetobeparkedonthehill,wedge-shaped
bumpersshallbeplacedbefore/aftertheotherthree
wheelstoavoidthevehiclemoving.
PositioningtheJack
NEVERworkbeneaththecarwiththejack
astheonlymeansofsupport.Thejackis
designedforwheelchangingonly!
NEVERjackthecarusinganyjackingpoints
otherthanthedesignatedpointsshown.
Otherwiseseriousdamagetothecarcould
result.
Avoidanydamagestotheunderbodyparts,
especiallyhotexhaustsystemcomponents.
