GearshiftSpeed
AfterselectingDgear ,thespeedatonegearvarieswith
theacceleratorpedalposition:asmallerthrottleopening
willresultinthegearshiftatalowerspeed,andalarger
throttleopeningwillrenderthetransmissiontodelaythe
gearshiftaction,andthegearshiftwillbecompletedafter
thevehiclereachingahigherspeed.
Kick-down
WhentheshiftleverisinDgear ,depressingtheaccelerator
pedalallthewaydowninonetime(alsoknownas
kick-down),canprovidebetteraccelerationperformance
whileovertaking.Undercertainspeeds,itwillallowthe
transmissiontoshifttoaproperlowgearimmediately,
andprovidefastacceleration.Oncetheacceleratorpedal
isreleased,itwillresumethenormalshiftspeed(based
onthevehiclespeedandthepositionoftheaccelerator
pedal).
