4Forvehicleswithmanualtransmission,ensurethat
theshiftleverisplacedinNeutralpositionwhilethe
clutchpedalisfullydepressed;
5Insertthekey,rotateittoposition3clockwiseand
releasethekeyimmediatelyaftertheenginestarts.
Note:Aftertheenginestarts,ifthekeyisnotreleased
immediately,thestarterwillcontinuetowork,which
willnotonlydischargethebattery,butalsodamage
thestarterandcatalyticconverter.
Donotdepresstheacceleratorpedalwhenstarting.Do
notletthestarterrunformorethan15secondsatatime.
Iftheenginedoesnotstart,turnofftheignitionswitch
andwaitatleast10secondsbeforerepeatingthestart
procedure.
IMPORTANT
•Ifenginestarthasfailedfor3consecutivetimes,seek
help.Ifthecustomercontinuestostart,waitfor10
minstomakesurethestartermotoriscooledand
thebatteryisrestored,otherwisethestarterand
thebatterymaybedamaged.
•Donotleavetheignitionswitchinposition1or
position2foralongtimewhentheengineisnot
running,otherwiseitmayleadtobatterydischarge
duetotheuseofelectricalequipment.
StartinColdWeather
Intheenvironmentwithatemperatureof-10℃andbelow,
thetimerequiredforstartinganenginewillincrease.So
itisessentialthatallunnecessaryelectricalapplianceare
switchedoffwhilestarting.
