Theexhaustsystemincorporatesacatalyticconverter,
whichconvertspoisonousexhaustemissionsfromthe
engineintoenvironmentallylessharmfulgases.Depending
ondifferentmodels,thevehiclesareequippedwith
differentthree-waycatalyticconverters:three-way
catalyticconverterfor1.5VCTmodels(A)andthree-way
catalyticconverterfor1.5Tmodels(B).
Improperusemayleadtodamagetothecatalytic
converter,sopleasepayspecialattentiontothefollowing
requirementstominimizethepossibilityofdamage.
Fuel
•Onlyusetherecommendedfuel.
•Neverallowthevehicletorunoutoffuel-thiscould
causeamisrewhichcoulddamagethecatalyst.
Starting
Payattentiontothefollowingswhenstartingtheengine:
•Donotproceedwiththestartattemptsafterseveral
failures,pleasehaveitservicedassoonaspossible.
•Donotstarttheenginebydepressingtheaccelerator
pedalrepeatedlyafterthefailedattempt.
•Donotattempttostartthevehiclebypushingor
towing.
