RemovetheignitionkeyandswitchoffALLelectrical
equipmentofBOTHvehicles,thenfollowtheinstructions
below:
1ConnecttheREDboostercablebetweenthepositive
（+）terminalsofbothbatteries.Connectthe
BLACKboostercablefromthenegative（-）
terminalofthedonorbattery（A）toagoodearth
point(anenginemountingorotherunpaintedsurface,
forexample),atleast0.5mfromthebatteryand
wellawayfromfuelandbrakelinesonthedisabled
vehicle（B）.
2Checkthatthecablesareclearofmovingpartsof
bothengines,thenstarttheengineofthedonor
vehicleandallowittoidleforafewminutes.
3Nowstarttheengineofthevehiclewiththe
dischargedbattery(DONOTcranktheenginefor
morethan10seconds).Ifthedisabledvehiclewill
notstartafterseveralattempts,itmayneedtobe
repaired.PleasecontacttheMGAuthorisedRepairer
foranoverhaul.
4Afterboththevehicleshavenormallystarted,allow
theenginestoidleformorethan2minutesbefore
shuttingdowntheengineofthedonorvehicleand
disconnectingthejumpercables.
5Disconnectingtheboostercablesmustbeanexact
reversaloftheprocedureusedtoconnectthem,
i.e.disconnecttheBLACKcablefromtheearthpoint
onthedisabledvehicleFIRST .
IMPORTANT
NEVERturnonanyelectricalequipmentonthestarted
vehiclebeforeremovingtheboostercables.
