Chapter 4 Maintenance
Setting the Tube Wash Intervals
For setting the interval at which washing of the ink tubes
will be carried out, in order to prevent ink clogging due to
coagulation of ink inside the ink tubes.

Press the
(MENU)
key in LOCAL.
MAINTENANCE MENU will be displayed.

Press twice, and press the
key.
“AUTO MAINTENANCE” will be selected.

Press , and press the key.
“TUBE WASH” will be selected.

Press to set the tube washing
interval, and press the key.
Set value : The set value will differ according to
the ink type being used.

Press the key several times
to end the setting.
Setting the Cleaning Intervals and
Type
This is a function operated instead of the PUMP tube
washing when the cleaning solution for maintenance has
been used up.
The cleaning type and the interval between each cleaning
operation are set.

Press the
(MENU)
key in LOCAL.
MAINTENANCE MENU will be displayed.

Press twice, and press the
key.
“AUTO MAINTENANCE” will be selected.

Press the several times to select
“Interval” or “Type”, and press the
key.

Press to select a set value, and
press the key.
Set value : The set value will differ according to
the ink type being used.
Set value of type : SOFT/ NORMAL/ HARD

Press the key several times
to endthe setting.
Fill up Ink
Supplies ink to correct nozzle clogging.

Press the
(MENU)
key in LOCAL.
MAINTENANCE MENU will be displayed.

Press times, and press the
key.
“FILL UP INK” will be selected.

Press to select the filling type.
Soft : Use this in cases where head cleaning
will not achieve recovery, such as when
multiple clogged nozzles occur or
nozzle cluster dropout occurs.
Normal : Use this if nozzle cluster dropout occurs
in initial ink filling.
Hard : Use this in cases where the dumper has
become empty, such as in dumper
replacement.

Press the key.
If you selected “Soft” in step 4, a Select Fill Up
Color screen will be displayed.
If you selected “Normal” or “Hard”, go to step 6.

Press to select the filling color,
and press the key.

Press the key.
Ink is supplied automatically.
7
Press the key several times
to end the setting.
In order to perform tube washing with the
Automatic Maintenance Function, the
maintenance washing liquid needs to be set. If the
maintenance washing liquid is not set, tube
washing operation will not be regularly conducted
and the passage could be clogged.
