Although the M24M is primarily designed for installation on walls and ceilings, it can also
be installed on a mounting pole using the appropriate MOBOTIX accessories. The dierent
installation options are described in Sections 2.4 and below, while the drilling templates
are included at the end of the manual.
Before installing the MOBOTIX M24M, the following questions should be answered:

The following sections contain an answer to each of these questions, as well as references

Like all MOBOTIX cameras, the in terms of how and where it
can be installed. An M24M can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications. In fixed

M24M cameras have been certified and can work reli-
ably in temperature ranges from -30 °C to +60°C (-22°F to +140°F) without extra housing,
heating or fan. A practical sun protective cover is integrated into the extremely resistant
housing, which is made of UV-resistant special-purpose plastic.
Thanks to the camera’s unique VarioFlex mounting system (supplied as standard), the
M24M camera can be mounted quickly and easily on any wall, ceiling or even a round
pole of up to 18 cm in diameter (when combined with the stainless steel pole mount). The
VarioFlex mounting system allows a wide positioning range in both the horizontal and
vertical directions (rotating and tilting) to enable precise adjustment to suit the area to
be monitored.
