DAILY CARE OF THE MACHINE
Service the machine daily to ensure satisfactory machine operation. In particular clean the “Retard
pads - Paper feed roller - Sensor” at the following intervals to maintain performance.
Cleaning Location Cleaning Cycle
Retard pads Once every 500 sheets
Paper feed rollers Once every 1,000 sheets
Sensors Once a week
Warning
Always turn the power switch off when doing cleaning work.
Warning
Do not dismantle the machine or attempt modifi cations.
Warning
Do not cut your fi ngers on the cutting blade inside the machine do not place fi ngers within the
cutting blade guides.
Caution
Do not let hands or fi ngers get pinched between the cover and unit when opening and closing
the cover.
! Caution
Take suf fi cient caution not to cut your fi ngers on the metal plates and pointed objects within
the machine when cleaning.
Caution
Do not infl ammable solvents such as benzene or thinner. If infl ammable solvents make con-
tact with electronic components inside the machine then fi re or electrical shocks might occur.
Caution
Take care not to drop metal objects such as paper clips or staples inside the machine. Do not
spill water, fl uids or infl ammable solvents (benzene, thinner, etc.) inside the machine. If elec-
tronic components inside the machine make contact with these fl uids then fi re or electrical
shock might occur.
Caution
Do not use organic solvents or spray detergents, etc. Using these might cause color loss on
the outer case of the machine.
