5. AFTERCARE

Warranty
• Machine (main unit) : Guaranteed for 6 months after purchase or cutting of 500,000 (which-
ever comes fi rst) sheets equivalent to fi ne A3 Wide paper as designated by our company.
• Rotary blade : Guaranteed for 6 months after purchase or cutting of 100,000 sheets (which-
ever comes fi rst) equivalent to fi ne A3 Wide paper as designated by our company.
• Long blade : Guaranteed for 6 months after purchase or cutting of 100,000 sheets (whichever
comes fi rst) equivalent to fi ne A3 Wide paper by rotary blade MC-1 as designated by our com-
pany.
Fine paper designated by our company : 788x1091mm at 135kg (thickness 0.18mm)
Includes the number of cuts for the rear edge margin.

Maintenance service
Repairs are made free of charge for 6 months after purchase or cutting of 500,000 sheets
whichever comes fi rst.
• The rotary blade and long blade are repaired free of charge up to a paper cut count of
100,000 sheets.
• After expiration of the warranty, service contracts can be obtained at our own designated ser-
vice dealers and shops.
• These service contracts do not cover the cost of the parts.

Units/devices with specifi ed replacement periods
Long blade : Generally should be replaced after cutting approximately 1,000,000 sheets of our
company’s designated fi ne paper.
Rotary blade : Generally should be replaced after cutting approximately 100,000 sheets of our
company’s designated fi ne paper.

Parts requiring replacement (consumable parts) at regular intervals
The following replaceable parts require regular replacement.
• Retard pads : Generally replace at 1 year intervals
• Anti-static brushes : Generally replace at 1 year intervals
The replacement period and number of replacements required for specifi ed devices (rotary
blades, long blades) and consumable parts depend on the operating environment they are
used in as well as the quality (and type) of paper.
Using organic pulp-based paper such as kenaf, or thickly coated paper will shorten the ser-
vice life of rotary blades and long blades.
If both the long blades and rotary blades lose their cutting edge then consult with our deal-
er or service shop.

To made additional purchases of hopper cutting waste bags inquire at our dealer or service
shop.
